This year counts the 4° Edition of the Erasmus Days, an initiative launched by the Erasmus+ French National Agency on the 30th anniversary of Erasmus+ and now organised across Europe by the Erasmus+ National Agencies under the patronage of the European Commission, in particular Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

An opportunity to share the results achieved and to underline how important it is to continue to invest in education, training and youth opportunities with a European dimension.

CESIE has organised some offline and online events where best practices and experiences carried on during the Erasmus+ projects implementation will be discussed.

Engagement and activism of young people! Presentation of IC4LoP’s training manual

Presentation the training manual “Engagement and activism of young people” developed within International Citizens for Local Perspectives project (IC4LOP). The manual focuses on developing inclusive spaces, with an initial emphasis on group process with young people from diverse backgrounds. It provides tools for helping groups to identify the global justice issues they are most passionate about, to develop collective responses.

Technology for Everyone

Technology is an instrument for inclusion and integration, necessary for personal growth and employment, a crucial tool to promote active citizenship and foster empowerment of girls and women. This is why it is important to support digital learning and access to technology for everyone. We will discuss this and more in our Social Cafè. During the session titled “Technology for everyone”, we will focus on the role of technology in a life-long journey, from preschools to secondary schools, ending with higher education institutions.

Fake news e critical use of media

Why is recognising and contrasting fake news important? How can you develop your own critical thinking, paramount to avoid falling into the trap of fake news? Science or magic? New practices for learning

Science, technology, engineering, mathematics … and so much more!

How to foster new intersectoral approaches? We talk about that in our IN2STEAM and FemSTEM projects, in order to create new synergies for interinstitutional cooperation (school and university) in STEM disciplines. A particular focus will be given to the role of women in STEM job careers.

Gamification in the social field

Formal education and gamification? During this Social Café we will discuss the importance of gamification as an educational resource where gamification becomes the vehicle for learning even in formal contexts. Through gamification, learning by playing becomes possible for all age groups. Design Thinking and agile work: creativity and innovation at work

What is Design Thinking? How much can it help us to solve the daily challenges at work and improve our working environments in the time of agile work? These will be some of the questions we will try to answer and analyse together, based on our experiences with the methodology itself. At the school of inclusion

Kind of event: face-to-face

Where? Al Fresco, vicolo Brugnò 1, Palermo, ore 14.30

The main topic will be social inclusion, with a focus on the local context and the role of schools. The event includes: talks by teachers who participated to the projects SOCI@LL e ouRoute about the link between social inclusion-social identity; brainstorming on schools’ needs for inclusion of migrant students, through the good practices of the projects Medis and TEACHmi. Finally, the conference of the project THRIVE will show the impact of positive psychology and resilience for the inclusion of young victims of Childhood trauma.
