Policy paper
This policy paper brings together the research findings, training experiences, and good practices collected during the implementation of the STOP project across four European countries: Italy, Spain, Greece, and France. It offers a set of actionable recommendations aimed at policymakers, educators, and professionals working with minors, focusing on how to prevent the sexual exploitation of children in the context of prostitution. Drawing from comparative analyses, fieldwork, and feedback from workshops with frontline professionals, the paper highlights the urgent need for comprehensive education, institutional protocols, and multi-sector collaboration to effectively protect minors and respond to emerging risks, particularly in digital environments. The document also includes country-specific sections with tailored recommendations based on national data, field experiences, and research insights from each participating partner.
