The STEAM Tales project presents a collection of 12 engaging STEAM-based lesson plans, specially designed for teachers working with children aged 6 to 9.
Each lesson plan includes two hands-on experiments inspired by one of the 12 role models featured in our stories of inspiring women in STEAM. These lessons are more than just fun experiments — they’re tools to help you spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in the classroom.
Every lesson plan includes:
- a clear and simple introduction to the topic,
- step-by-step guidance on how to carry out the experiments with your pupils,
- suggestions on how to explain what’s happening during the experiment,
- a short section on how the activity relates to the featured female role model.
At the end of each lesson, you’ll also find a scientific background section, which helps you better understand the topic and support your students’ learning with confidence.
