Analysis

The SMART needs analysis report summarises the results of the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) that has been carried out with teachers/trainers working with disadvantaged groups in second chance education provision. The goal is to:

  • identify existing knowledge and skills of teachers (teacher level)
  • identify existing culture and practice in measuring and evidence success factors (organisational level)
  • identify gaps (teacher and organisational level)
  • make recommendations for staff training

The Training Needs Analysis (TNA) has been carried out with the staff of the partner organisations. A standard system for conducting a quantitative and a qualitative training needs analysis has been developed and it has been used as a framework for the analysis from the partners.
