Safe Hut involves seven expert partners from six EU countries and aims to create four new Safe Spaces for Women and Girls (WGSS) in Greece, Lithuania, Romania and Bulgaria, based on a model developed by the International Rescue Committee and on the example and experience of the Penc Center in Palermo. The impact of the project includes creating WGSSs for the safety of women and girls, increasing their knowledge and awareness of their rights and available services, improving their employability through vocational skills development, raising awareness among various stakeholders on the issue of human trafficking, improving the skills of professionals providing assistance to victims/survivors, and improving the psycho-social well-being and labor market opportunities. Safe Hut’s newsletter highlights the project’s goals and next steps.
