Policy recommendations
The present document, produced as part of CESAGRAM, provides policy recommendations to address gaps in child protection frameworks. It aims to guide policymakers in implementing stronger measures to protect children online, combat grooming, and support victims of child sexual abuse.
These recommendations focus on enhancing EU legislative frameworks to tackle child sexual abuse and grooming, establishing trauma-informed, child-centred reporting and justice systems for grooming victims, and strengthening child protection systems through training, hotlines, and survivor support. Additionally, it emphasizes holding social media and online platforms accountable and increasing research and funding on online grooming and its link to missing children.
