Report

The document establishes the framework for the periodic assessment of adherence to the CHASE Code of Conduct.

Grounded in a human-rights-based and gender-sensitive approach, the document defines shared principles, domains and indicators to ensure structured, consistent and evidence-based monitoring across participating countries.

The system foresees annual checks and monitoring exercises aimed at promoting transparency, accountability and continuous improvement in media practices. In its initial phase, the process is carried out with the involvement of media partners, with the longer-term objective of transferring the mechanism to a relevant professional or collective association.

By strengthening accountability mechanisms, the document supports the effective implementation of the Code and contributes to the broader mainstreaming of responsible media standards in preventing online gender-based violence.
