Teaching materials

This training guide is intended for educators working with children and young people in custodial or residential (community) settings for children at risk. It was developed within the framework of an Erasmus project funded by the European Union for partners from Italy, France, Greece and the United Kingdom, but can be used by all educators working in contexts that support children and young people undergoing reintegration in communities. This guide is designed to support educators who are implementing the Skills4Life Curriculum in their settings. It is recommended that you read this Guide before implementing the Curriculum, to familiarise yourself with some of the theories and practices behind Curriculum development. It will also help you address some of the challenges you may encounter when implementing the Curriculum in detention or residential (community) settings for children at risk.
