The Erasmus+ project ReFace – Regions facing shocks: building resilient communities intends to provide effective tools for the creation of resilient regions, which are able to respond, adapt and react to adversities and crises, so as to reduce their vulnerability in the long term and improve their ability to respond in the future.
Through an international partnership (Slovakia, Italy, France, Spain), ReFace aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of key actors at regional level, making them aware of the value that local actions can have in responding to economic, social and environmental challenges.
To this end, the partnership will analyse European regions that are very different from each other but united by a common desire to contribute to the development of effective tools and policies in response to adversity. The following resources will be developed:
- European Report “Creating Resilient Regions”;
- Syllabus for the MOOC “Preparing regions for emergencies and disasters: creating resilient communities”;
- MOOC “Preparing regions for emergencies and disasters: creating resilient communities”;
- Road map “Promoting resilient regions – a tool for sustainable communities”.
