Methodological and pedagogical study

In some European countries, there areobligatory or voluntary integration or “value”courses for third country nationals (TCN) toprovide them with general knowledge aboutthe host country and its society. Teaching history in such coursesseldom goes beyond stating dates and keywords without addressing the broadercontext, consequences or importance ofevents or processes in the past. History Box enableseducators to share historical knowledge withlearners, and helps refugees and migrantsgain insights into their country of residence’spast, thus fostering an understanding of,identification with and ultimately inclusion and participation in its society.
