Press release
The first press release foregrounds the SafeHut initiative’s goal of creating safe spaces for women and girls (WGSS) as a vital strategy for the protection and empowerment of women and girls who are victims or survivors of trafficking. Through collaboration with expert partners from different EU countries, SafeHut intends to build four new WGSS in Greece, Lithuania, Romania and Bulgaria, using a proven model developed by the International Rescue Committee. The main objective is to provide support to women and girls from third countries who are victims or survivors of trafficking, with a focus on survivors of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
