To increase the competences of young NEETs (young people who are not working and not in education) from northern Spain in order to improve their employability.
Context
Spain is one of the European countries with the highest recorded youth unemployment rate, reaching around 38% for those aged between 16 and 25. In the case of Asturias, a youth unemployment rate of 47.56% was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2022, which represents a change of 4.01 percentage points compared to the data recorded in the previous period. The high youth unemployment rate has many negative economic and social consequences. From this starting point, there is a need to develop programmes to adapt the vocational needs of young people to the needs of companies.
Objectives
The aim of the project is to improve the employability of people aged between 16 and 29, particularly those who are most vulnerable due to various types of social, cultural, physical or economic obstacles.

- To support 25 young people by providing them with advice and designing training and employment itineraries suited to their profile.
- To promote cultural exchange through a 3-month training and work period in Italy.
- To ensure the continuity of this project by setting up a solid consortium and identifying actions to meet the real and current needs of the target group in relation to the labour market.
