Young people in Europe need to be connected to increase their social inclusion, promoting EU values, diversity acceptance, inter-cultural and social dialogue. Motivate young people with fewer opportunities (YPWFO) to take part in a mobility project can raise their employability and social skills;
During the 3rd partner meeting hold in Polanica Zdroj (Poland) on 13rd and 14th March 2017, on the first day the partners of COPE – Connection opportunities for people in Europe – has presented their work regarding the second output on “Promoting EU and European and international mobility grants”, making EU and mobility understandable to all, divided in different modules such as:
- European Union;
- European mobility projects;
- Other grants for young people to support mobility projects.
The partners will finalize this output taking into account comments raised up during the meeting, and it will be available on the Online platform.
On the second day, partners have worked on the third output “What do I need to know when preparing my departure?”.
The aim of the output is to help young people and especially young people with fewer opportunities in Europe to have a better understanding of what they need to consider when they decide to take part in a mobility project. It also aims to reduce YPWFO fears related to the departure and raise their confidence. The guide will also explain the role of the participant in the preparation of its own project.
Youth workers from local organisations were invited to participate at the preparation of this output. They had the opportunity to share with the partners of the project their feedbacks and proposed some suggestions according to the potential needs of the target group. The third output will be presented during the next partner meeting in July 2017 hosted by ADICE (France).
The project lasts 2 years, is coordinated by Consultancy Careers Workplace (Wales) and co-funded by Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership in the field of youth.
The project’s partnership groups five organisations from different Countries:
- CCW – Training Academy Ltd (United Kingdom) – coordinator,
- ADICE Association Pour Le Developpement Des Initiatives Citoyennes Et Europeennes (France),
- Europejskie Forum Mlodziezy Stowarzyszenie (Poland),
- SophieDelebarre Conseil (France),
- CESIE (Italy).
