The third international meeting of MOBILE, Mobility in Learning in Europe, took place in Poland, England, on the 27th and 28th of last November. The project involves eight different partners from all around Europe: Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Belgium and The Netherlands.
Objectives
The project aims at improving the quality of European workexchange experiences for young people. For this purpose, the partners organised numerous meetings with students, teachers and companies involved in mobility projects for understanding the needs, requirements and expectations of each one. Thanks to a partnership with international experience and different and complementary skills, training programmes for students, teachers and mentors were developed during the last year. These programs are available on the project website http://www.mobilityinlearning.eu/
Meeting
The meeting was held in Sopot, a small town on the coast of the Baltic Sea. During the two days spent together, the partners discussed about the activities already developed, the next steps and introduced new action plans. The hosting partner organised a public event which was attended by school principals, teachers and representatives of the labour market. After a short introduction about the project, people were invited to attend four workshops:
- Teacher/Mentor Training programme
- Learner Training Programme
- Competence Cards
- Handbook of Resources & Tools
The event was very useful because the participants expressed their impressions and opinions about the tools already developed, giving important feedback to the partners.
Next steps
Next activities concern the testing and piloting phase. In particular the consortium will test the training programmes, organise mini conferences for teachers and mentors and realize 10 mini-mobilities that will be held in Palermo on next spring, during the fourth international meeting of the project.
