Last month 5 young migrants finished 3 months of part time internships in 4 local enterprises in restoration, gardening and handicraft field: Moltivolti, Fabbrica 102, Codifas e Liber-Alab. During the evaluation meeting Daba, Sylla, Mohamed, Saibo e Omar expressed their satisfaction towards internship that represented a good working experience to develop soft and professional skills.
This type of opportunity was conducted within FETE project: From Expats to Experts: United Civil Society through Inclusion and Empowerment of Young Immigrants (Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships in the field of Youth). The main objective was to create an inclusion strategy through learning practical experience.
The young people that participated in the main phases of FETE project, such as the exchange in Malta, the training to become youth ambassadors in Denmark, the internship in local enterprises, had the opportunity to share their experiences during the Public Debate & the Symposium that took place in Copenhagen the 3rd of June. During the event, there were many people working in associations, local community with young migrants. The participants had the possibility to discuss through many group discussions about the phenomenon of immigration and about the identification of best practices to include young migrants in the labour market. For the partners of the FETE project was an occasion to disseminate the project’s results and to underline the sustainability of the project.
