Are you a young person aged between 18-29 years old, not working or studying? Do you live in Sicily? AmuNEET gives you the opportunity to participate in an internship experience abroad.

AmuNEET will support 24 young Sicilian NEETs (3 groups of 8 people) to participate in a 12-month education, vocational training, or employment placement in their home country with work-related learning experience in another EU country under the ALMA programme.

ALMA is an initiative that aims at supporting young people who are not in employment, education or training (so-called NEETs, Not in Employment, Education or Training). The programme aims to help disadvantaged youth integrate into society by accessing employment or training courses, through educational and vocational experiences abroad, and ultimately find their way into the labour market.

CESIE, a European study and initiative centre, specialised for more than 20 years in education and training activities in the local, national and international arena, and based in Palermo, is recruiting 24 young Sicilian NEETs aged between 18 and 29 years old, unemployed, not in education or training, to participate in a 12-month experience that includes: preparation training with career counselling sessions (3 months), a six months professional internship experience abroad in one of the partner countries: Portugal, Spain or Greece and a follow-up phase with career counselling sessions (3 months). The programme also provides support and counselling and mentoring sessions before, during and after the internship experience abroad.

Storytelling and the importance of psychologists in the Third Sector

The psychologist can contribute to something of great importance: the understanding of the human and the creation of healthy, collaborative networks among individuals who share life paths. One of the tools through which this goal can be achieved is precisely through speech and storytelling.
