Recommendations for 21st Century Teacher Competencies is a reference document that identifies four key areas for modern teacher education – Technological Empowerment, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Playful Learning – and for each one outlines the core competencies teachers need and offers concrete, actionable recommendations for both pre-service and in-service educators.
Drawing on collaborative research conducted across five partner countries (Denmark, Finland, Italy, Romania, and Spain), the document takes a holistic view of teaching – one where technical, pedagogical, and ethical competencies come together to equip educators with the skills and mindset needed to guide their students through a rapidly evolving world.
