Objectives

  • To strengthen the skills of teachers in promoting productive relationships with the families of pupils with a migrant background
  • To support the involvement of foreign parents in the educational pathway of their sons and daughters
  • To improve the educational offer and to combat school drop-outs of pupils with a migrant background

Activities

  • Collection of innovative initiatives of civil society organisations for the involvement of parents with a migrant background in the school life of their sons and daughters
  • Development of the online platform Parents Engage with interactive materials for teachers
  • Training materials for teachers to support them in adopting innovative practices for parental involvement
  • Development of an information pack for parents to inform them about the local educational context
  • Development of a mobile phone application for parental involvement in the school system
  • Production of a series of videos with direct narratives of migrant parents, following the logic of digital storytelling
  • Elaboration of policy recommendations for the promotion of support programmes for parental involvement
