Objectives
- To enhance the capacities and awareness of sports clubs and organizations, sports teams and clubs on implementing good governance principles through social responsibility, focusing on participation and inclusivity irrespective of gender, background, sexuality, disability, age or otherwise and the promotion of human rights.
- To improve knowledge on how sport organisations interpret, manage and prioritise social responsibility issues within their organisations, especially in terms of combatting violence and tackling racism, discrimination and intolerance, as well as in encouraging social inclusion and equal opportunities, how organizational governance influences social responsibility and vice versa, and how social responsibility is communicated within sports organizations.
- To provide tools to sports organizations and professionals for understanding the relationships among the organization, its stakeholders and society, and integrating socially responsible organizational governance practices.
- To contribute to the promotion of participation and inclusivity principles in sport through social responsibility
Activities
- Desk and field research conducted in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece and Italy to assess how different types of sports organisations interpret, manage and prioritise social responsibility issues within their organisations
- Pilot of an awareness raising & training toolkit through seminars for staff members of the sporting community to implement good governance principles through social responsibility, focusing on participation and inclusivity irrespective of gender, background, sexuality, disability, age or otherwise and the promotion of human rights
- Information days organised in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece and Italy to inform and raise awareness concerning the project objectives and outputs, and promote their uptake among for-profit and non profit sports organizations, national sports leagues, organisations or unions representing professionals and volunteers in sport and other organisations active in the field of sport, human rights and social inclusion.

Impact
- For-profit and non-profit sports organizations, sports clubs and sports academies having been trained implementing socially responsible organizational governance practices and social responsibility policies that promote inclusivity irrespective of gender, background, sexuality, disability, age or otherwise and the safeguarding of human rights.
- Members and fans of sports organizations and clubs receiving transparent, fair, non-discrimiatory services that protect their rights, and enhance their awareness on important social issues.
- Project partners will have enhanced cooperation with other relevant local, national and transnational actors active in the field of sport, human rights, social inclusion) that can lead to additional actions and initiatives promoting inclusivity and human rights in sport through social responsibility.
