From Expats to Experts: United Civil Society through Inclusion and Empowerment of Young Immigrants (FETE) targets 60 young first-generation immigrants mainly from non EU-countries but currently living in either Italy, Malta, France, or Denmark as the four countries participating in the project.
The main goal is to improve labor market inclusion of young immigrants by providing them with the opportunity to deepen their skills through participation in workshops and to gain work experience through the implementation of an internship. All interns are accompanied by a mentor.
The project consortium present the final products which has been worked out:
- Inclusion for Change: is a research conducted in all the partner countries (France, Denmark, Italy and Malta) with an overview of migration policies and young immigrant inclusion strategies in the European labour market.
- Guide for Mentors of Young Migrants: is a guide for mentors/ youth workers that work with young migrants that was developed on the basis of the partners experiences during all the FETE project. In the guide is possible to find useful tips and suggestions, templates of certificates and evaluation methodologies.
The project outputs, which were developed in order to reach this goal, have been finalised and made available on the project website http://fete.crossingborders.dk/ as well as on CESIE’s Digital Library.

The FETE project was launched under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnership with a duration of 2 years – from September 2014 to August 2016.
