The ProLang partners met in Koper, Slovenia, for the final meeting, in order to finalize the last activities of the project. Between November 5th and 7th, representatives from Spinaker (Slovenia), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), University of Bratislava (Slovak Republic), University of Vilnius (Lithuania), and CESIE (Italy) were hosted by Virtualis (Slovenia) and discussed the project results, as well as the promotion of the university partners’ language courses, and the exploitation of the ProLang web portal for language providers and language students.
By the end of December 2014, the partners will update the web portal prolang.net by including new language tests for potential language students and young people in mobility who want to maximize their experiences abroad.
An incremented number of descriptions of the different language course providers in about 20 European countries will populate the portal and provide information on where to study for people in mobility wishing to learn the language of their host country. The language course provider descriptions will serve two purposes: on one hand, potential students will be able to select a course provider for the language they are interested in; on the other hand, schools and language course providers will be able to address their target group and offer information about their courses.
Finally, the ProLang web portal will act as a source of information for language schools wishing to get to know more about the types of promotion which best work to reach out to potential students. The ProLang partners have in fact analyzed four channels of promotion and their effectiveness, also by testing it with the university partners. The results and reports of the promotion activities carried out by University of Ljubljana, University of Bratislava and University of Vilnius will also be available on the website and will offer an insight for all language course providers wishing to improve the number of participants in their courses.
