On 27h April 2017 the presentation of the project PRO.V.A.C.I. – Profili di Volontari in Apprendimento di Competenze per l’Inclusione (Profiles of Volunteers in Learning of Skills for Inclusion)
The project PRO.V.A.C.I. started last February. It is a project on the theme of active participation and it is supported by Fondazione CON IL SUD through the notice “Con il Sud che partecipa”. The project is promoted by Per Esempio in partnership with ASCC, CESIE, Department of Participation and Mobility of Municipality of Palermo (Assessorato alla Partecipazione e alla Mobilità del Comune di Palermo), Libera Palermo, SEND and with the Dipartment of Psychological, Pedagogical and Education Sciences of the University of Palermo (Dipartimento di Scienze Psicologiche, Pedagogiche e della Formazione).
The objective of PRO.V.A.C.I. is to mobilize the voluntary action of citiziens, to create a search system, allocation and promotion of volunteer service and to facilitate the matching between organizations and volunteers, which are profiled according to specific skills.
The activities that will involve volunteers and organizations will be conducted mainly in two areas: welcoming and inclusion of migrants and educational poverty.
The next 27h April at 10:00 am, in the framework of the celebrations of the three years of activities of the Moltivolti space, in Ballarò, the event presentation of the project will be realized, during which Claudio Arestivo from Association Per Esempio will take part, and following also Carlo Andorlini, an expert on collaborative systems and teacher at the University of Florence, Giusto Catania, Assessor of Participation of the Municipality of Palermo, Cristiano Inguglia, researcher of the Department of Psychological, Pedagogical and Education Sciences of the University of Palermo and Giovanni Zinna, co-founder of Moltivolti.
During the event, the online platform www.provaci.org will be presented, it is one of the main tools of the project.
It will be the virtual place where, after the accreditation, volunteering supply and demand can reconcile on the basis of (the) organizational needs and young people aspirations. This match will be important for young people who wish the volunteering experience to be educational and not mere support. Moreover, the platform will allow the circulation and exchange of ideas and best practices related to the world of collaborative economy.
To this purpose, the project will carry out a mapping of organizations that are interested to offer a volunteering experience, creating a profiling of volunteers and promoting the training. Finally, it will be created a model of certification and recognition of skills acquired through experience carried out.
In the days following the event presentation of project PRO.V.A.C.I., the first two focus groups will be held, with representatives of the first organizations involved: it will be an analysis aimed to find out their needs in terms of skills and capabilities required to volunteers with which a project will be started.
