CESIE is implementing EAT SMART project (Youth in Action Programme – Action 3.2) which aims at spreading a sustainable way of approaching life, promoting youth creativity, intercultural dialogue through pleasant approaches and link the work of organizations with the world of enterprises and sustainability.
Through using food as a tool to exchange culinary traditions, notions of healthy eating and different concepts of sustainable development and consumption, it will stimulate intercultural dialogue of young people among the four countries. In addition, new dished mixed of Asian and Mediterranean flavors will be created during the implementation, which will show the youth’s creativity and their senses of healthy life.
During the overall project youth video maker will develop a documentary about project thematic and project activities.
Last December 2012 took place the online Kick off meeting among the partners: CANGO (China), CESIE (Italy), Solidarités Jeunesses (Vietnam) and Pistes Solidaires (France).
All partners are building a Local Working Group which will be involved actively in the next phases of projects activities:
- Training Course in China (March 2013)
- 6 Local Workshops (including documentary creation) with local community on food traditions/culinary heritage, healthy eating and Sustainable Development&Consumption
- Food Fair in Palermo (September 2013)
- Dissemination events
Now, we have completed the group of participants of China Training Course and are looking forward the further steps and your participatory will be very welcome.
We will involve participants with abilities as a work team as follow:
- Film makers, who are good at making video as well as willing to transmit the knowledge to others;
- Participants with strong skills and interest in cooking, culinary traditions, in enterprises promoting healthy food and sustainable consumption;
- Citizens, entrepreneur, students interested on the project thematic and curious to discover more about Asian and Mediterranean cousine and sustainable consumption.
As a participant you could be involved in these work:
- To build up a platform of sharing healthy food with other participants from France, Vietnam and China in Beijing;
- To organise or to participate in the 6 cooking workshops with local community in Italy;
- To prepare presentation of food fair in Palermo.
