At the end of October, CESIE took part in the final conference of the EXACT project and in the opening ceremony of the Centre of Excellence, that will guarantee the sustainability of the project. Both the events took place in
Heerlen, Netherlands.
The EXACT project was implemented, within the European Commission’s “Lifelong Learning Programme” (LLP), Transversal, by associations, schools and institutions actively involved in the field of education, from 10 different countries (Italy, Netherlands, Spain, France, UK, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Sweden). The project produced a virtual platform, the publication of a Handbook to promote social competences, and the publication of an Inventory of actions to prevent school dropouts. Such products, available in English, will guide trainers in their work with disadvantaged youngsters.
On the 28th of October, therefore, the European Centre of Excellence for NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people, has been inaugurated, with the aim of maintaining an European network that shares and develops didactical tools and methodologies for second chance schools.
