Do you also think that art is a powerful means of social change, capable of giving voice to the ideas, including political ideas, of the youngest? Over the past year, My Creativity – My Power has organized, among other activities, a series of local workshops precisely with the aim of encouraging the use of art in the social sphere. The young participants, who came from Austria, Italy, Poland and Slovenia, first took part in the workshops and then began their international journey by participating in 3 art workshops in Vienna, Palermo and Brussels. The journey ended with a beautiful artistic performance through which they expressed their demands in front of MEPs.
The performance was the result of a collaborative process and artistic co-creation between European youth and artists who worked together, put passion and dedication, and expressed their political and social ideologies and demands. On November 15 and 16, they brought all this to two replicas of the same performance: on the 15th in the square in front of the European Parliament, where intrigued and fascinated passersby watched the performance; and on the 16th at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU, in front of MEPs, concluding with real direct questions that opened a dialogue with the audience. Their journey with the project My Creativity My Power has ended, but the echo of their magnificent work will linger.
A video of the performance will soon be available on the project’s official website: https://mycreativitymypower.eu/
Don’t miss it!
