How to stimulate the interest of students, especially of young adults, in learning new disciplines?
Promoting training activities based on concrete examples seems to be an effective solution. In parallel, however, it is essential to provide adult educators with guidance strategies, equipping them with innovative solutions to enable students to understand the usefulness of applying the concepts studied to concrete situations.
The Erasmus+ IDEA project aims at developing the competences of adult educators through motivation strategies, training materials and innovative solutions.
The resources offered by IDEA project partners will thus give the possibility to young adults, supported by educators, to expand their knowledge in the field of entrepreneurial skills, also increasing their employment possibilities.
IDEA partnership has developed the Interactive toolset supporting Development of Educators of Adults’ skills in Boosting Entrepreneurship among NEETs, an interactive resource that features a self-assessment tool and eight modules on informal entrepreneurship skills, enriched with real-life scenarios and good practices. In addition, the training material contains specific sections both for educators and students, offering tailor-made solutions based on the individual’s knowledge.
The resource is currently being tested: between December and January, CESIE organised two virtual meetings to present the toolkit to two groups of educators and young adults. The meetings included a theoretical part and practical activities, aimed at getting the participants’ opinions on the main aspects of the resource: usefulness, innovation, user-friendliness.
The Interactive toolset supporting Development of Educators of Adults’ skills in Boosting Entrepreneurship among NEETs will be soon available on the IDEA project website. In the meantime, we invite you to consult the project newsletters.
