Gender stereotypes at school: Take part in the Focus Group and answer to SAFER questionnaire

4 September 2018News, Rights and Justice

Are you a primary school teacher and would you like to contribute to a European study on gender equality?

The SAFER project aims to prevent, encourage reporting and combat gender-based violence fostering a systematic approach based on positive psychology and character education of children.

Among the activities planned by the project, we are organising a Focus Group for primary school teachers on 18 and 19 September 2018 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the office of CESIE in Via Roma, 94 Palermo.

The purpose of the Focus Group is to explore the attitudes of primary school teachers regarding behaviour of boys and girls and to analyse the prevalent gender stereotypes in schools.

Would you like to take part in SAFER focus group?

If you are interested, please send your request to participate via e-mail to ruta.grigaliunaite@cesie.org by Friday, 14 September 2018, specifying the date on which you would be available to participate.
Cannot participate in a Focus Group? Fill in the online questionnaire on gender-based violence in schools. Thanks to your contribution, we will collect teachers’ personal attitudes and beliefs about the topic and analyse existing responses to the problem.

Findings will be used to create educational resources that will support teachers in raising awareness of gender-based violence in schools.

Take part in SAFER project by answering the questionnaire, you will make a big contribution to a question of global importance.
