How to support teachers in Second Chance Education in their professional development?

Which tools could support them in reaching their personal and professional goals?

From 16 to 20 April 2018 CESIE has hosted the last Learning Teaching and Training Activity and the transnational meeting of partners of project EPODS – onlinE PrOfessional Development in Second chance Education.

During the training week 14 participants – teachers and trainers from Italy, Greece, UK and Germany – have tested the tools developed through the project:

  • Second Chance E-Learning Offers (SCELOs)– e-learning corse to allow teachers and trainer to keep an high level of support for their students;
  • Second Chance Skills Portfolio (SCSP)– online self-evaluation tool and digital Portfolio for teachers and trainers;
  • Second Chance Moodle (SCOODLE)– Platform for teachers and trainers to create online courses.

In the next months the tools will be finalized, and will be available for the public in August 2018.

In the project, particular attention is given to support the development of a European online community of teachers and trainers working with NEET (young people not in Education, Employment or Training) and in second Chance Schools.

Project EPODS has also a dedicated space on the platform DISCUSS to ease the exchange of experiences, communication and cooperation among teachers, trainers and experts.
