Printed Material – Manual

This document is the second of three products from the project SPAcE SPAcE (Supporting Policy and Action for Active Environments). It aims to provide practical information to help people to develop and co-produce their own Urban Active Environment (UActivE) Action Plan to facilitate physical activity within their own environments.

This document describes and defines an urban active environment, and shows how an Action Plan can be developed to support the creation of a health enhancing, urban environment. It also provides five case study examples of how this was undertaken in the SPAcE project in Greece, Italy, Latvia, Romania and Spain.
