On 19th January 2016 CESIE participated in Information Day on Civil Protection, in Brussels, Belgium. It was organised by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department in accordance to present the EU work programme for civil protection. More than 50 representatives from national administrations, regional and local authorities, private sector, non-governmental organizations, academies, research institutes participated in this event, creating a network of stakeholders supporting the civil protection.
During the event Civil Protection Work Programme 2016 and Funding opportunities for the projects concerning a range of relief and civil protection efforts in the field of natural disasters, mandate disasters, health emergencies, assistance to consular support were presented.
CESIE is inviting different types of stakeholders to support civil protection efforts and develop projects in which they will stimulate cooperation between EU and non EU countries which are vulnerable to disasters..
