Once again this year The Antiracist Mediterranean Tournament will be held in Palermo.
The sporting event, now in its fifth edition, gathers young and adult people from all the districts of Palermo.

“As always, we start talking about the numbers: 4 days, 4 kinds of sport, 10 fields, 7 categories, 26 groups, 164 teams, more than 650 matches, more than 1800 goals, more than 1400 players, 13 referees, 1 radio, 0 booking, 0 sending off.
And as always Vucciria, Tunisia, Noce, Campo Rom, Zen, Ecuador, Falsomiele, Sudan, Cep, Brazil, Marinella, Bangladesh, Capo, Nigeria, Albergheria, Ghana, Kalsa, Ethiopia.. to point out a possible map of Palermo made of flows and without barriers.
This year there will be special guests coming from territories off Sicily: youth from Scampia, a city that has been twinned with us for a while by now, that together with Bandabaleno have helped dancing samba on the fields; and a wonderful piece of news from mestizo Rome: youth from Metropoliz, that a few months ago hosted a roman lap on the road of Antiracist Mediterranean and that couldn’t miss the event, despite some bad adventure during their trip. It has been a huge pleasure for us to have them with us for the whole duration of the manifestation.”

- From 5.00 p.m. opening ceremony of ANTIRACIST MEDITERRANEAN 2012 and the FIRST BIRTHDAY of Mediterraneo SQUARE
From afternoon till evening: confirm of the enrolment in the tournaments that will take place at Velodromo; concerts and folk dinner prepared by the taverns of the district.

- Antiracist Tournament 2012: soccer, volleyball, cricket, basketball and rugby tournaments. For the closing ceremony of the tournament there will be a STREET PARADE till the Zen 2 square, where the penalty kicks will take place. Prize giving and Closing party will follow.
