On the 5th and 6th of December, CESIE organised and hosted an International Workshop in Palermo, to explore different possibilities of projects proposal and implementation, within the Lifelong Learning Programme, focusing on the Leonardo Mobility Programme. Organisations, training centres and universities representatives from seven different countries took part at the Workshop, with the aim of sharing mobility experiences and develop new ideas which provide students, graduates, workers and professionals in education, with the possibility to live a training experience abroad.

Furthermore, participants had the chance to visit some centres located in Palermo city centre, such as Ubuntu and Giardino di Madre Teresa, verifying personally the importance assumed by volunteers and trainees coming from different European countries within the city framework.

The meeting gave everyone the opportunity to discuss on the common need to create a bridge between education world and labour market, and new ideas sprung by this mutual collaboration aimed at promoting mobility as a social and occupational development tool.
