On November 18th, CESIE took part in the third summit of the project “School on Cloud – connettere l’istruzione ai Cloud per creare una rete di cittadinanza digitale”, co-funded by the LLP Programme – Action AC3 Multilateral Network, entitled “School on the Cloud: a roadmap to a new teaching and learning paradigm”, organised by the Belgium organisation GO! At the Flemish Parliament in Brussels.
The project aims at exploring new dynamic methods in education by promoting Cloud initiatives in the public and private sectors.
The summit has been attended by partners from all Europe (Greece, UK, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Bulgaria, France, Ireland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Turkey) and involved: schools, universities, companies, NGOs, National Authorities, research centres, associations and VET actors.
The network aims at analysing the way in which education can answer to the new ICT developments that are rapidly changing the labour market and society and at spreading as much as possible the opportunities offered by these powerful technologies.
The event saw the intervention from two key-note speakers, Prof. Sugata Mitra (Hole in the Wall, School in the Cloud) and Ewan McIntosh (NoTosh Limited), who shared their experience related to innovation in education and, especially, to the so-called Self-Organised Learning Environments (SOLE).
The participants also had a chance to take part in different workshops aimed to explore the potential of Cloud-based learning:

- WG iTeacher: The Impact of Cloud-based Teaching

The summit was anticipated by a partner meeting which was held the day before at GO! offices, in Brussels. After the meeting the partners had the chance to visit the Comics museum in Brussels.
