Last May 26 at CESIE was held the launch of MOOC-ART, the online platform created by the RestART project and dedicated to all those creatives and artists who wish to improve their digital skills.

The learning platform is free and available in 7 languages (Italian, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, and Finnish) and features 6 learning modules: promotion, digital marketing, networking, storytelling, video content production, and video production and editing. The modules are accompanied by various interactive activities, videos and quizzes, through which participants can test what they have learned and measure their progress.

The launch of MOOC-ART was accompanied by a workshop on how to make a documentary, entitled “Representing the Real”, led by Lorenzo Mercurio. An award-winning cultural anthropologist and documentary filmmaker, Lorenzo Mercurio is the founder of EsperienzaSicilia.it, whose historical and ethnographic documentaries showcase the wonders of Sicily.

In conjunction with the launch of MOOC-ART, the project partners met in Palermo last May 31 and June 1 for the third RestART meeting. On this occasion they were able to present the various results of the platform tests conducted in the various countries of the consortium. In Italy, 21 creatives and artists tested MOOC-ART and successfully took the final course quiz so as to receive a certificate of participation.

In the coming months, the project partners will work on producing an online handbook aimed at VET providers in the creative and cultural sectors. They will also work on producing videos that provide concrete suggestions to EU policymakers on how to support both creative cultural sector (SCC) professionals and vocational education and training (VET) providers by applying the RestART approach.
