The RENYO online training sessions have recently concluded. With about 15 educators involved, they were a great moment of exchange and reflection to discuss about alternative methodologies to work with young offenders and young people at risk. During the training sessions we tackled different issues – from the implementation of the Authentic Inquiry methodology to the different coaching techniques educators use in their daily life with minors. But there were also challenges for educators, who put themselves at stake by becoming students again during their learning journey on the Learning Journey Platform, the online platform of the RENYO project that allows you to assess your learning potential.
The first meeting of the training with educators from the Comunità Mediterraneo of Palermo started on 26th of March. Subsequently, the training continued involving educators and social workers from communities for minors and Secure Custodial Settings throughout Italy, committing them for April, May and early June, when we completed our third training cycle.
