From 4th to 8th April the first international workshop of the My Creativity My Power project took place in Vienna.
About 50 young people from Italy, Slovenia, Austria and Poland met and began their journey that will lead them to build an artistic performance, through which they will bring their political and social demands in front of the European Parliament.
The 5-day workshop began with group-building moments, to give everyone a chance to get to know each other and create a cohesive group. After that, each one had the opportunity to try out all the disciplines proposed – theatre, music, dance, graphic arts – so as to choose which one to work on. Once the discipline was chosen, each artistic group began their work.
During the workshop, activities were also organized to help the young people express their political and social demands for the future, to guide them towards the creation of their own questions, which will then be exposed through the artistic performance they will create in the coming months.
Over the next few months, two more international workshops will be organized, one in Palermo (Italy) in September and another in Brussels (Belgium) in November, during which the participants will continue to work on the performance and their requests, and then conclude the process with a final performance in Brussels in front of the European Parliament.
