Sense of belonging and social inclusion for migrants are strongly dependent on financial inclusion.

PLOUTOS aims to support third-country nationals (TCNs) in fostering financial and bureaucratic competences in their new countries by providing resources, training, and access to financial and other useful local services.

During the whole duration of the project, partners have been promoting learnings paths for TCNs fostering their financial freedom and independency in local communities. By improving financial literacy, facilitating access to finance, and enhancing skills relevant to the host countries’ systems, PLOUTOS enhances the overall autonomy, benefiting both TCNs and the communities they are a part of. In order to do so, the project has implemented different courses on Business Language and Financial Literacy as well as a professionalising course for intercultural mediators and a Business Lab supporting future entrepreneurs by accompanying them on their initial path.

Connecting people and institutions

In order to share the stories and resources of the PLOUTOS project, connecting TCNs, organisations and institutions, the project team is organising a final conference in Brussels, on December 6. During the event, the team will showcase the final results from the project activities drawn by partners in each country, the lessons learned during the implementation, and you will have the chance to meet some of the participants of the project who will be present to give testimony on their experience. In the frame of this event, there will also be the occasion to exchange best practices, lay the path for future collaborations, and connect with representatives from European institutions.

If you would like to attend the final PLOUTOS conference and find out how you or your organization can make an impact on social and financial inclusion, register by filling out the form below. The event is open to anyone who wishes to attend and will be held in English.

MOVE: young people in action for an inclusive Europe

MOVE involved young people from Italy, Spain, Belgium and Cyprus to raise awareness of migration and promote social inclusion and European cohesion. Through workshops, campaigns and the MOVE Goose Game, participants developed empathy and awareness of the challenges related to inclusion. The course concluded with the presentation of the MOVE Decalogue of Inclusion, a tool for more cohesive societies.
