From the 1st to the 6th of February 2015, it has been held in Dublin the final international meeting of the project SUNIA GEEL 2. After two years of intense international collaboration and several local activities focused on the prevention and the contrast of domestic violence, the 5 project partners (from Ireland, Austria, Germany, Romania and Italy) met for a final moment of sharing the achieved results.

Main target groups of the project’s action have been: Irish Travellers in Ireland, Muslim migrants in Germany, Austria and Italy, Rom and Sinti in Romania.

The results of the project were also showed during the international final conference which took place in Dublin, on 5th February, at the presence of many representatives from Irish organisations working at different level with victims of domestic violence and/or with people at risk.

The numerous materials produced during the project are also downloadable from the digital library of CESIE’s website. In particular we recommend to consult:

  • State of the Art Report (for those interested to have an overview about the state of policies and legislations at European level and in the project’s partners countries about the issue of domestic violence);
  • Domestic Violence Response Programme for women and Domestic Violence Response Programme for young people (particularly suitable for educators and those who want to deepen the use of artistic methodologies as a means to tackle the issue of domestic violence with victims or persons at risk);
  • Graphic novel collecting some of the art works created by the woman who took part to the Domestic Violence Response Programme;
  • the DVD developed in collaboration with young people who have participated to the Domestic Violence Response programme and that may represent a useful tool to stimulate debate among youngsters about the issue of domestic violence.
