The second international meeting of the project “SUNIA GEEL 2” (Daphne III programme) took place in Palermo, at CESIE, from the 4th to the 7th October 2013. The project aims at contributing to the reduction of domestic violence against women and children from marginalized ethnic minorities.
During the meeting, the partners shared the results achieved in the previous months (mapping of the services currently available for victims of domestic violence in partners’ country, results of the questionnaires administered to understand the needs of services users in relation to service provision, etc.). The general progress of the project has been assessed and next project’s step were been detailed.
In particular, in the coming months, both activities with experts in the field of prevention and / or support of Domestic Violence victims and activities directly involving the target group (Muslim migrants for the local activity in Palermo) will be carried out to raise awareness about Domestic Violence issue.
Regular updates will be available on CESIE’s website (www.cesie.org) as well on the website of the project (suniageel2.eu).
