Fighting violence and discrimination does not only mean denouncing them: it means creating spaces where people of different ages, backgrounds, and experiences can talk openly, build awareness, and strengthen community bonds. From this idea comes DialoghiAMO – Encounters of voices, bodies and individualities, a festival created by CESIE to promote the sharing of experiences, knowledge, and inclusion as concrete tools to counter all forms of violence and inequality.

DialoghiAMO weaves together education, art, activism, and research in collaboration with local organisations, creating spaces for dialogue on themes such as consent, the body, gender, respect, and freedom.

Throughout November 2025, three events will address the issue of gender-based violence from different perspectives: sport, the digital space, and healthy relationships. With this festival, we aim to create continuity in dialogue and participation, building together more just, inclusive, and aware societies.

Equity and inclusion in sport – 18 November 2025, A.I.A. Palermo Section

The first DialoghiAMO event starts on the field. In collaboration with the Italian Referees Association – Palermo Section, the event invites participants to reflect on how gender stereotypes and inequalities continue to influence the world of sport.

Through interactive workshops and activities, participants will explore how to make sport a space for growth and participation for everyone, where respect and equity are the rule, not the exception.

The event is part of the European project Sport GVP, dedicated to preventing gender-based violence in sport and promoting safer and more inclusive sport environments.

Digital safety and online consent: dialogues across generations – 21 November 2025, FEMBOCS

From sport to the digital world, the second event of the festival, organised with the Transfeminist Collective FEMBOCS in Bagheria, focuses on online violence and sexual abuse against minors. In an open dialogue between young people and adults, and between Palermo and its surrounding area, we will better understand how violence manifests itself in digital spaces.

Through panels, workshops, and an artistic performance, the event will offer tools for prevention and collective reflection, encouraging an intergenerational dialogue on how to experience the web more consciously, and promote a culture of consent and respect online.

The event is part of the bE-Aware project, which promotes digital safety and affective education as key elements in preventing online violence.

Space for wellbeing: Ask the expert! – 28 November 2025, Spazio B-UNA

This edition of DialoghiAMO will conclude with a morning of listening, guidance, and practical activities dedicated to wellbeing in relationships.

This event, designed as a welcoming space for sharing among women from all over the world, invites participants to reflect on how to build more conscious, balanced, and fulfilling relationships – including with ourselves. With the contribution of experts, participants will explore the roots and forms of emotional relationships, learning to recognise their fragilities and strengthen healthy, respectful interactions.

The event is part of the WeLens project, which aims to strengthen educators’ capacity to recognise and prevent the link between sexual exploitation and gender-based violence, while amplifying women’s voices and promoting transnational cooperation.

Through these three events, DialoghiAMO invites us to reflect together on how education, participation, and respect can become everyday tools to combat violence and discrimination.

By looking at reality from different perspectives, we place listening, awareness, and care for relationships at the heart of a more just and respectful society.
