The first year of the project “Inventing the future” is coming to an end. It has been founded by the APQ “Giovani protagonisti di sé e del territorio” and has involved young people from Palermo in several workshops regarding creativity, theatre, dancing, painting, active citizenship and interculturality.

In order to present young participants’ works and to promote the activities to be done in November 2011, an event called “Porte Aperte II” (Open Doors) is going to take place on 28 October 2001 at “Centro O.P.E.N.”, inside “Centro Sant’Anna” (piazza Kalsa, Palermo), where the workshops will be done.

The multi-purpose centre O.P.E.N. (Opportunities, People, Empowerment, Novelty), addressed to young people (aged from 14 to 18 and from 19 to 25), aims at proposing them the alternative of a spontaneous aggregation, providing the city with an alternative experimental space for young people’s cultural self-production. It is meant to be at the same time a meeting place, an opportunity of non-formal education, a workshop for expressivity and creativity, and a place where people can spend their free time together, making the experience of being and working together worthwhile.

We hope many of you will join us!
