Sendasur is an eco-touristic center located in Chiapas (by the border of Guatemala). It was created in 2006 and now has three tour operators and sixteen eco-touristic community centers around the region. One information and booking center is open in San Cristobal de las Casas.

The originality of this network is that its members come from different cultural backgrounds (Tzeltals, Lacandons, Zoques etc…).

In harmony with the traditions that link tightly the communities to the mother heart, Sendasur promotes concepts of sustainable development and green tourism.

The missions are to develop the pedagogical gardens for the tourists, exchange new recipes for the restaurants, implement new activities on discovering fauna & flora etc, develop communication and promotion tools (videos, photos, blog, etc.) and sensitise travelers on sustainable development.
