Home / Get involved / Playmaker Camp first edition: apply to participate in our two-days free sporting event!

Do you love sports and are you looking for the right opportunity to meet new people? Do you want to try something new? At CESIE we have just what you were looking for!

The Playmaker Camp!

The first edition of the playmaker camp will be held on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th of September 2020 at the Parco della Salute in Palermo. It is a two-day social inclusion sporting event. Participation is free of charge.

What sports will you find?

Two expert coaches will support us in managing the activities that will focus on two sports: Basketball and Street Cricket.

If you are interested in trying a new sport and participating in this event, please fill in the questionnaire here. Deadline: 30th  of August 2020.

How does it work?

The Playmaker camp is based on the approach developed by GAME, a Danish organization that has been working with sport and social inclusion for years. The approach is based on the figure of the Playmaker, a young man who does sports in an inclusive way, trying to get in touch with the people around him and involve them in activities, learning to manage a group and thus developing leadership on the playing field.

What will come up next?

from March 16 onwards, our two coaches will follow up with weekly activities at the Parco della Salute so that you can keep having fun with these sports.

Basketball: Tuesday 3.00 pm – 5.30 pm

Street cricket: Monday 16:00-18:00

In addition, you will also have the opportunity to become a Playmaker, if you are interested in learning the tools of the Game approach and become a sports ambassador in your city and neighborhood.

All activities are free of charge.
