The Roma minority is still one of the neglected, often marginalized minorities. Most Roma settlements are stillseparate from those of the local population and the members of the Roma community still suffer from material, social and economic disadvantages
Through the project “ROMANO DROM” we want to discover the true soul of Roma culture, getting to know their way of living, the good practices from each participating country, sharing thoughts about hate speech and stereotypes.
Where: MURSKA SOBOTA – RAKIČAN SLOVENIA
When: from 4th April to 12th April 2022
Economic conditions:
- Food, accommodation and activities will be 100% covered
- Travel: round trip ticket covered by the Erasmus + program up to a maximum of 275 euros
- The participation fee is 60 euros [contact us if you cannot afford to pay it]
Who are we looking for?
6 young participants aged 18-30 and resident in Italy who can travel abroad and 1 group leader (21+) who has already had some youth exchange experiences.
Requirements
- Intermediate knowledge of English
- To be part of some voluntary organization connected to Roma or any other minorities
