Mobility is one of the most effective tools to promote social inclusion and stimulate active citizenship.
Il Canto di Los and Volta la Carta professionals, with CESIE’s support, for two years have been travelling: exchanging good practices with their European colleagues, giving young patients the opportunity to go to a foreign country, facing new challenges and creating new relationships.
It’s time to share our travel experiences with you and for this reason we invite youth workers, teachers, educators, tourism and cultural operators, and anyone who wants to “travel” with us, to TEDDIP’ EUROPE final event organized under Erasmus + programme, Key Action 2: Co-operation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices.
The exchange was not limited to the usual mobility but proved to be a unique and special way to travel and to establish strong relationships with international team that will last beyond the end of the project. For this reason, we have asked colleagues working in the field of travel and inclusion, ethical and social tourism join us. AddioPizzo Travel, Eterotopia, Sguardi Urbani and Moltivolti Capovolti will share their experiences during the TEDDIP event.

TEDDIP’ Europe project aims to help to ingrate minors with an intellectual disability into the community-based support structures in line with the Recommendation of the Committee of Ministers of Council of Europe CM/Rec (2010) 2 to member states on deinstitutionalisation and community living of children with disabilities. These recommendations discourage the construction of new institutions and reject the authorisation and funding of such proposals. Furthermore, it underlines that the action by public authorities, strategic planning and coordination should focus on:
- discouragement of institutionalisation,
- prevention of the prolongation of short-term stays,
- de-institutionalisation of persons currently residing in institutions,
- creation of community-oriented services.
TEDDIP’ Europe is a two-year project co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme, Key Action 2 – Strategic partnerships in the field of Youth and brings together partners from 4 countries:
- IME “Al Casal”, Association Joseph Sauvy (France, coordinator);
- ALFMED Académie de langues France Meditérranée (France);
- Centre d’ educació especial Les aigües (Spain);
- Eppas (Czech Republic);
- CESIE (Italy).
