It will be held tomorrow, 16 of June 2011, the meeting “Go Green Europe” at the office of Confindustria (Industrial Association) in Palermo, street XX Settembre n. 53.
The aim of the project is to share knowledge and good practices for the application to the PMI, through the identification of eco-friendly measures, about “green business”.
The project focuses on how the PMI operating in disadvantaged areas and in high risk areas (recession, climate change and other hazards) can be encouraged to invest money and resources in order to improve the environmental performance.
The project will share the experiences among the areas of the four partners (South West London, Zaragoza, Denmark and Sicily); the project is divided into several phases, research and exchange of information about good national practices, identification of demonstration projects in the UK, Spain, Denmark and Italy, which will be subject of study; there are also activities regarding the dissemination of some examples about good practices of “green business” both nationally and transnationally, and a transnational high profile conference organized in London by the Wandsworth Borough Council will close the project.
The project Go Green Europe is financed by the European Commission, within the “PROGRESS” Program.
The objectives of the project are: to search good practices and to identify demonstration projects that show us successful examples about the use of green measures in the work market, with a particularly focus on the good practices used in the PMI, sharing experiences and knowledge about the good practices of the “green Business” among the different social partners in all Europe, to spread the research results and the demonstration projects between the policy makers and the other stakeholders at local, regional, national and EU level.
