green businesOn april 29th , within the premises of CESIE was held the first meeting of the project “Go Green Europe” developed in the framework of PROGRESS programme – a project that aims to share knowledge and best practices among SMEs, through the identification of eco-friendly and “green” business measures. The project focuses on how SMEs can be encouraged to invest time and resources in environmental efficiency improvement measures, in deprived locations and in sectors which are highly vulnerable (to recession, to climate change and to other threats).

Alessandro Melillo and Sarah Beal, project manager from CESIE, welcomed representatives of the Wandsworth Borough Council, London (lead partner of the project) and other European partners, coming from Spain (Association de Jóvenes empresario de Zaragoza – AJE) and Denmark (South Denmark European Office).

The meeting helped us to plan the entire management and coordination of the project, marking the start of its activities.

Topics of discussion were the implementation of the planned local activities, the creation of a communication plan and the arrangement of the next meeting, that will be held in Zaragoza.
