On April 14th 2014, the Council of the European Union has unanimously adopted the Regulation setting up the ‘Europe for Citizens’ Programme for the period 2014-2020.
The programme offers funding support in two thematic areas:
- “European Remembrance“, which focuses on Europe as a peace project. As it is fundamental to remember the past to build the future, the aim of this action is giving support to initiatives which reflect the referent points of Europe’s modern history, specially the causes of the totalitarian regimes;
- “Democratic engagement and civic participation“, which aims at strengthening the civil society understanding about EU policies, and its involvement in European policy-making; supporting initiatives that encourage the engagement of the general public in the processes of European integration.
Waiting for the publication of the official programme guide, you can learn more about the new Programme flip through the RePlaY booklet (RePlaY project was funded under Europe for Citizens Programme, Action 1.2.2). It contains a description about the main features of the Europe for Citizens 2014-2020 and some tips and advices to future EU applicants.
The publication is available in 10 different languages. You can free download it at the following link: http://www.replay-project.eu/publication/
