6 July 2018Adult

Is it possible to use art therapy to express yourself and get in touch with other communities?

The public of Terrasini, teachers, educators, third sector organisations, parents and families are warmly invited to the final event of the CREATE – Creative Therapy in Europe project on 12th July 2018 from 7pm at Piazza Duomo, Terrasini, Palermo.

During the event, the community of Terrasini together with art therapists, youth workers, trainers and educators will have the opportunity to discover:

  • What is art therapy;
  • The different forms of art therapy;
  • The experiences of participants in the field of art therapy in mixed and multicultural groups involving migrants and Italians;
  • The different art therapy tools developed by the CREATE project;
  • The importance of art therapy as a tool for the social inclusion of migrant communities.

Also, the ARTCOM – ART supporting COMmunities through innovative tools for youth work project will be present in Piazza Duomo, with a performance dedicated to the art therapy created in collaboration with African and European participants of the International Training Course aimed at youth workers and trainers of local international communities who work with marginalised young people.
