Have you recently started a business or have you got a new business idea in your mind? Are you looking for a more experienced entrepreneur to learn from?
Are you an experienced entrepreneur who would like to lift up his/her SME on a European level? Then the StartUp2 project is the chance for you!
StartUp2 as a part of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme, a cross-border exchange programme, gives the possibility for new or would-be entrepreneurs to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small & medium businesses in other European Union countries, with an exchange period between 1 and 6 months.
This project aims at supporting entrepreneurship, and at developing the international outlook and the competitiveness of European SMEs. It does so through:
- facilitating exchange of experiences, learning and networking for new EU entrepreneurs through periods spent at SMEs of experienced entrepreneurs in another country;
- empowering SMEs from all European countries to become more competitive and to enhance the growth of their companies at an international level.
As a result, through that exchange, start-up entrepreneurs and newly-established micro and small entrepreneurs can create transnational networks and exchange good practices.
During the exchange, the experienced entrepreneur will help the new entrepreneur to acquire the skills needed to run a small firm and, at the same time, the host entrepreneur will have the opportunity to share experiences with the new entrepreneur who will bring new ideas and motivations to the enterprise.
Representatives from all partners came together for the StartUp2 kick-off Meeting in Palermo (Italy) on the 26th and 27th February for the launch of the project and again they met in Brussels (Belgium) for the EYE Network Meeting from 5th to 7th March hosted by the European Commission.
We had the chance to meet the other intermediary organizations involved in Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme coming from all Europe and find new matches for their entrepreneurs and at the same time building relationships between New and Host Entrepreneurs across Europe.
CESIE, as intermediary organization and local contact point supports the New Entrepreneurs and the Host Entrepreneurs during the registration process and in finding the right entrepreneurial match and in carrying out their business exchange. We will be glad to accompany entrepreneurs and to support the growth of their entrepreneurial potential!
